In 2007, The Children's Hospital relocated from its downtown Denver site and moved to its new facility at the Fitzsimons campus. The new hospital is headquarters for Children's network of care and is located on approximately 41 acres at the biomedical campus being developed by the University of Colorado Health Sciences Center (USCHC).
Farnsworth Group was selected to provide commissioning services for this 1.2 million SF, world-class complex. The cost for the hospital was estimated between $250 million and $300 million. The components of the project include the inpatient facility, outpatient clinics, a pavilion for specialized services, offices for faculty and staff, parking garages and infrastructure.
