Farnsworth wins Colorado Facility Award of Excellence from IFMA
COLORADO SPRINGS, CO...May 29, 2009...Farnsworth Group, Inc. was honored on May 2, 2009, with the 2009 Colorado Facility Award of Excellence (COFAX) by the International Facility Management Association (IFMA).
The COFAX Awards were founded by The Pikes Peak Chapter of IFMA to recognize exceptional achievement by facility managers throughout the state of Colorado. Farnsworth Group earned top honors in the Environmental Impact/Resource Conservation category for the redesign of a commercial interior for its new Colorado Springs office. Farnsworth Group designed the new space with innovations including energy and water conservation, indoor air quality enhancements, and recyclable and reused materials for construction and waste. The office is also pursuing LEED® (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) certification from the U.S. Green Building Council.
